Why should I buy a Bocart? Chinese manufactured quads and zip bikes are much cheaper.

All Bocarts are quality karts, handbuilt in Denmark. They are not knocked together by dispassionate sweat shop workers. Bocart is a family owned and run business. Bo has a small team of workers, that take a great deal of pride in their work. You will not find a better built machine on the market. The power units are either Briggs and Stratton which powers the Rabbit, or Honda on the rest of the karts. The clutches, torque converters and drive units are all manufactured for Bocart by either Briggs or Honda.

Are they safe, and if so, why?

Yes, they are safe. The driver is strapped securely to the seat by a full four point harness, including a lap strap. All Bocarts have a roll bar, which will protect the driver in the event of a roll over. Bocarts are well engineered machines and are solidly built, this will also offer the driver a great deal of protection. You must however, ensure that you wear a well fitting helmet, and that the straps are securely adjusted. You must also drive well within your limits.

Won't I get a better sensation of speed on a quad or a zip bike?

No you won't. You sit much lower to the ground on a Bocart. This creates a much better sensation of speed. You also benefit from a lower centre of gravity, which improves cornering, stability and safety.

I don't like Jeremy Clarkson. I hear that he has a Bocart. Is that true?

What is the spares situation like, and do they need specialised maintenance?

The spares back up is excellent. Most spares are held here in the UK. In the unlikely event you need spares, we'll get them to you on next day delivery. Honda spares are available from your nearest Honda agent, and Briggs and Stratton spares are available from your nearest Briggs agent. No specialised maintenance is required. In fact, most Bocart owners enjoy maintaining their karts themselves. Oil changes, brake and chain adjustments are all simple to carry out. If you don't want to maintain the kart yourself, you nearest mower or farm machinery repair centre will be happy to carry out the work.

I'm a good neighbour. I don't want to offend the people next door. Are these machines noisy?

Bocarts are very quiet. They are powered by high quality silenced four stroke motors. They will not cause a nuisance like those nasty two stroke quads and Chinese zip karts. If you are a commercial user, we can supply you with the relevant decibel level data sheets to support your planning application.

Will my Bocart be delivered ready to go? Will it need running in?

Just about. Your Bocart will be delivered standing vertically on a standard Euro pallet. All you need to do is remove the wooden support braces, and lower the kart onto it's wheels. Add oil to the motor and clutch unit (on Honda powered karts). Fill the petrol tank with unleaded petrol. Fit the steering wheel, seat and roll cage. It's a simple excercise, supported by clear instructions, written in English.

Your Bocart will not need running in.

Do Bocarts have gears and a clutch?

No. They have just two pedals, no gears and no clutch. The Extreme has a constant velocity transmission (CVT), but you don't need to worry about that, as it looks after itself. The right pedal is the accelerator, and the left is the brake. At idle the kart should remain stationary (though all Bocarts have a parking brake).

What is the warranty period, and how does it work?

BOCART gives a two year right to raise a claim against faulty workmanship. Your instruction booklet will have more information. The following text is from the Bocart manual dated 03/08/06:

5 : BOCART WARRANTY

5.1. BOCART gives ½ year warranty and 2 years right for complains to private users, according to the EU regulations when the manual and the warranty conditions are kept. Damage caused by abnormal use, for example by rental and commercial use is not covered.

5.2. Warranty matters are for the head importer to establish. Send the damaged part, together with a statement and explanation, for the importer to look into the matter. You will always receive an answer, either if the damaged is approved or refused.

5.3. The warranty is also limited to replacement or repair of the damaged part.    

5.4. Warranty / Spare parts to the engine is covered from local HONDA dealer.
